Vice President, Project Development (MEAP)

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for providing project management, MEP and overall technical service leadership & support throughout all project stages of project development. The candidate would provide support to their direct reports within the technical design department. This position is required to liaise with all Development departments, as well as, Operations, Brand and Legal upon request. Liaising with Owner’s Management Team in relation to the specific project schedule and planning, is important and creating a strong client relationship is critical. The Focus of this role is organizational, technical, and mechanical. We are looking for a person with strong and compassionate leadership skills to help the Standard Asia in house technical group with teamwork and coordination.  This person is required to create a strong relationship with the Chief Design Officer (CDO) and communicate project details, liaise in major decision making and be a trusted support to the CDO.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Track project schedules and monitor progress and delays.

·       Lead and work closely with the TSA team to organize and implement planning and construction for new and existing properties.

·       Ensure Standard International Guidelines are implemented throughout the project process.

·       Ensure Standard International policy is continually adhered to throughout the Project Process.

·       Liaise and coordinate with Standard International Technical Services team, Design, and other related Standard International specialists during project development.

·       Coordinate& attend project meetings.

·       Assist in site appraisals of potential new projects.

·       Review MEP drawings and all MEP related items of new projects

·       Support existing and new projects on any MEP related tasks.

·       Interface with bidding & value engineering process.

·       Interface with construction administration activities.

·       Provide program analysis for hotel & resort projects.

·       Provide Project Budgets

·       Support in Contract negotiations.

·       Provide day to day management of multiple projects, organizational strategy & process and leadership.

·       Represent Standard International during client and consultant meetings. Preparing analysis of projects.

·       Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

·       Follow direction and task assigned by Chief Design Officer.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Architectural knowledge is essential to qualify for this position.

·       Background and Experience in Architectural, Real Estate Development & Hotel Development are needed.

·       Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience of delivering successful projects and developing relationships with clients, design consultants, general contractors, and vendors.

·       Good working knowledge of Computer Programs like AutoCAD, 3D, Photoshop, Microsoft, applications etc.

·       Interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.

·       Proven planning, and project delivery skills.

·       Thrives within team and individual environments.

·       Able to manage occasional travel based on business demands.

·       Fluency communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Multilingual Preferred.
