Sketch your heart out - and for a good cause! We're hosting an art session at The Standard, East Village to decorate bags for Heart of Dinner's nourishing care package service. Each bag will be used to distribute culturally thoughtful meals to Heart of Dinner's elder NYC Asian American community with an extra touch of love. This session will be led with pointers by the talented illustrator Christine Wong!

Your creativity brings cheer and joy to Heart of Dinner's beneficiaries many of whom live in isolation and look forward to your artwork, often saving the decorated bags to look at throughout the week when they feel lonely. Be sure to RSVP for your seat - art materials will be provided.

About Heart of Dinner: Heart of Dinner addresses food insecurity, isolation, and loneliness among Asian American older adults living in under-resourced communities. Through the home delivery of culturally thoughtful, nutritious meals in hand-illustrated bags, accompanied by handwritten notes in their native language, Heart of Dinner's approach holistically nourishes the elders' physical, emotional, and mental well-being. As they expand across NYC's five boroughs and plan for national outreach to California, their commitment remains steadfast: to create a world where every Elder feels loved, seen, and cared for, one meal and heartfelt note at a time.
