Theirstories: Summer of Sport

To mark Pride in London and the launch of the Women’s Euros, TheirStories presents Queer Voices in Football—a special event bringing together LGBTQ+ players, fans, and advocates to highlight queer experiences in football and push for progress in the game. Despite strong LGBTQ+ representation in women’s football and campaigns like Rainbow Laces, top-tier men's football still lacks openly queer players. The panel will explore grassroots efforts, challenges like the FA's ban on trans women, and the work still needed for true inclusion.

Panelists include Liz Ward, Joanie Evans, Fae Fulconis, Snake Denton, and Caz Simone, with a spoken word performance, DJ set, and Euros screening to follow. Join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and celebration.

As part of the 'Curated by...' series, Annie & Lara invite guests to explore the vibrant world of European female writers through collaborative activities, multilingual materials, and shared reflection. Expect cocktails, postcards, translation, and a celebration of private worlds in public spaces.
