Opened since May 2025, The Standard, Brussels marks the hotel brand’s third outpost in Europe.
Set in the city’s Northern Quarter, The Standard, Brussels brings the brand’s design, culture and activation-driven philosophy to Belgium.
With 180 guestrooms (plus 20 residences), the modern, new-build project features many stages for The Standard’s renowned day- and nightlife. A ground-floor greenhouse welcomes guests and locals into the lobby lounge, restaurant, and terrace. Upstairs, The Rooftop features its own restaurant, bar and garden—set to become a neighbourhood destination. Throughout the building, additional public and private event spaces are platforms for happenings.

Your Role
As HR & Training Coordinator at The Standard, Brussels, you’ll be a key member of the Human Resources Team, supporting our employees throughout their entire journey, from pre boarding to exit and everything in between. Your mission: ensure smooth HR operations, accurate payroll processes, engaging trainings, and a positive employee experience in a fast paced, high energy hotel environment.
You’ll be the go to person for employees and managers for day to day HR topics, payroll questions, trainings, and people related processes. From coordinating payroll and managing HR systems to supporting recruitment, onboarding, social initiatives, and internal communication, your role is as varied as it is impactful.
This is not a Standard HR coordinator role. You’ll need to be hands on, highly organized, approachable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and fairness at all times. You’ll thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment, balancing administrative responsibilities with strong human connections.
Do You Have What It Takes…
A minimum of 1+ years’ experience as HR coordination / HR administration / generalist HR role, gained within a similar Lifestyle Hotel or large city centre Hotel is essential for this role. Although prior experience in a similar role is useful, we welcome all at The Standard. You should have an uncompromised and natural flair for people, building genuine relationships with employees and managers that allow you to anticipate needs, provide support, and deliver an outstanding employee experience, sometimes even before it’s asked for.
In addition to this you may also have….
• Previous experience in a similar HR coordination or generalist role, ideally in hospitality or an international environment is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in French & English, Dutch is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft office suite.
• Knowledge of Partena Professional and Strobbo is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently, utilise multi-tasking, prioritise tasks.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
