The Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests at Lido Bayside Grill. This position serves as a hospitality ambassador for The Standard, creating memorable experiences through attentive service, menu knowledge, and genuine guest engagement.
Servers are responsible for maintaining service standards, accurately processing orders, handling payments, and ensuring guests receive a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.
- Welcome and engage guests in a warm, professional, and genuine manner.
- Create memorable dining experiences through personalized service.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively provide assistance.
- Build rapport with members, hotel guests, and local patrons.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and guest-focused attitude throughout service.
- Possess complete knowledge of food menus, beverage offerings, wine lists, cocktails, and daily specials.
- Accurately explain menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Enter orders properly into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages according to established standards.
- Open and serve wine according to service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Complete opening, closing, and side-work assignments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service stations.
- Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service.
- Handle all payment methods accurately.
- Maintain compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Assist teammates and support overall restaurant operations as needed.
- Follow all company policies, service standards, and SOPs.
- Maintain professional grooming and appearance standards.
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Identify and report operational concerns or guest issues promptly.
- Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or hospitality environment preferred.
- Experience in upscale, lifestyle, or high-volume dining environments preferred.
- Strong food, wine, cocktail, and beverage knowledge preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of POS systems.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
