Rays of sun in the Freedom Tunnel

Photographer Will Ellis took it upon himself to explore the places of New York City that most wouldn't: from a sunken bridge in Sunset Park's Bush Terminal to a long-abandoned room in the Queens mental hospital covered in pigeon droppings. Ellis' has compiled three years worth of work into Abandoned NYC, a glossy 150-page photo book, complimented by essays on the forgotten sites. On Wednesday, Ellis will speak about his work and findings at the Morbid Anatomy Museum.
