Things To Do This Week

NEW YORK

Pioneering video and new media artist Diana Thater has long been fixated on our environment, but perhaps never this cosmically. Her latest exhibition at David Zwirner is deeply immersive, incorporating a free-standing, enclosed viewing box lit from below and a ceiling screen to explore the world of the humble dung beetle, which goes to great lengths to dispose of its waste, all while navigating by the Milky Way. Experience the micro/macro in all its glory.

It's that time of year again. Yes, award season is underway, and of course, you should take it all in with your most astute and cultured friends...us, of course! Join us at The Standard, Downtown LA for The Globes. You've been nominated for drink specials, free Ping-Pong, and opinions from the peanut gallery. MIAMI

This week marks one of the most important in the very young 2015 cultural calendar with National YoungArts Week, a week-long series of events dedicated to showcasing finalists in visual art, literary art, design, and performing art who have had the opportunity to work with master mentors in their respective fields. Each night spotlights a different form with films, musical performances, readings, and exhibitions. This is your chance to catch brilliance in bloom.
