New York - High Line, NYC Retail Supervisor

      We’re looking for a Retail Supervisor that is responsible for assisting the Retail Manager and team with providing solutions to streamline retail operations and create standards in line with brand identity across all properties

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Provide information to buyer for the development of the merchandise strategy and assist in the product selection and key item development as directed
      • Create partnerships with vendors to develop, organize, and market promotional events
      • Adhere to financial budgets and strive towards delivering annual sales and profit targets by reacting to market trends and controlling expenses
      • Manage and monitor open to buy plan and delivery schedule for retail outlets
      • Manage the timely placement of purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on time delivery. Cancel late shipments as necessary
      • Create and update retail SOP’s handbook and ensure the dissemination of product knowledge to retail staff
      • Assist Financial Controllers in the creation of annual retail budgets
      • Submit invoices, payroll and monthly physical inventories to accounting on a timely basis and verify data to ensure that accuracy of account postings
      • Create action plans and ensure participation and follow through of pertinent departments involved with retail promotional event setups
      • Maintain and oversee the fulfillment of E-bay shop orders
      • Mentor and help each retail associate to grow and move up in the organization
      • Assist buyer in monitoring industry trends, evaluate competition and attend major markets as feasible and necessary
      • Consult with Buyer and effectively manage and solve merchandising issues
      • Establish pricing strategy. Develop and execute aged inventory markdowns and exit strategies
      • Collaborate with retail staff and buyer to create and implement an annual promotional retail events calendar
      • Collaborate with Design Team to plan, design, and execute marketing materials to promote retail events

      Qualifications & Requirements

      Essential:

      • Physical:
        • Reach several feet
        • Ability to stand for majority of shift – about 8 hours
        • Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
      • Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures
      • Comprehension: Fluent in the English language
      • Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks
      • Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per SOP’s
      • Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time and attendance at mandatory meetings when scheduled
      • Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations
      • Guest-service oriented
      • Strong communication and math skills
      • Ability to multi-task and set priorities

      Desirable:

      • Multi-lingual
      • Prior work experience in retail or hospitality
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
      • Experience with inventories and displays
      • Basic Accounting skills
