New York - East Village, NYC Front Desk Agent

      Do you have what it takes? The Standard East Village is currently searching for a hospitality rock
      star to join our team as a Front Desk Agent! The Front Office is the face of
      the hotel and the main contact point for all guests. We’re determined to
      impress our guests at every turn, so we’re looking for an outgoing and
      energetic individual who is focused on providing exceptional customer service.

      Our Front Desk Agent will:

      • have previous work experience in the hospitality
        industry
      • Interact with guests in a friendly and welcoming
        manner at all times.
      • Act as the guest’s main contact during their
        stay.
      • Be prepared to give information on rooms,
        events, food & beverage offerings, transportation and neighborhood
        happenings.
      • Check guests in and out of the hotel.
      • Assist in resolving any guest needs/concerns during their stay and work
        collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues quickly and
        professionally.
      • Assist in preparing VIP Arrival notes and in identifying
        key guests.
      • Oversee all special amenity directives.
      • Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other
        services of the hotel.
      • Thoroughly understand and adhere to company credit, check- cashing and
        cash handling policies and procedures.
      • Maintain a working knowledge of the reservations department.
      • Take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary.
        Adhere to cancellation procedures.
      • Uses proper mail, package and message handling procedures.
      • Look presentable at all times and adhere to uniform
        requirements.
      • Be able to follow direction, organize,
        prioritize & multi-task under pressure.
      • Adhere to company policies and standards of
        conduct at all times.
      • Have experience working with Opera.
      • Perform various duties, often changing from one
        task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
