About Café Standard

Mixing the charm of a street-side bistro and the electricity of a downtown bar, Café Standard at The Standard, East Village is a neighborhood social hub that buzzes from morning to late night. The Café features a dynamic menu utilizing Chef Max Blachman-Gentile’s experimental and naturally fermented sourdough breads, available for purchase daily, plus varieties of mushrooms grown directly in the café from a temperature and humidity controlled tank used in our dishes across property. After dark, DJs, signature cocktails and bar snacks set the tone for the evening crowd, and in warm weather, the Café expands into its very own plaza on the Bowery.
