Cuna Bar & Lounge is turning up the heat for Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15—an opportunity to recognize the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of the Hispanic community and the neighborhood we’re lucky enough to call home.

We’ll be marking the month with limited-time offers, exciting collaborations, and a few surprises still under wraps. Take a peek at the current menus here and everything we have in store below.


A TASTE OF LA NEWYORKINA

Chef Maycoll Calderón teams up with Mexican pastry chef and La Newyorkina founder Fany Gerson for a month-long collaboration inspired by the vibrant flavors and traditions of Mexico. After returning from a year of traveling through Mexico, Gerson founded her Brooklyn-based frozen-treat shop to bring the country's vibrant paleta culture to New York.

The menu pairs three margaritas with three La Newyorkina paletas, each with its own flavor combination. Then come the chamoyadas: frozen, fruit-forward drinks layered with the sweet, sour, spicy, and salty, flavors of chamoy. Three versions will be on the menu alongside Cuna Bar mainstays throughout the month, with or without alcohol.

LOTERÍA NIGHT

Drop in for four high-energy rounds of Mexican bingo hosted by Iranipapi. Play to win prizes galore from The Standard and Nopalera, while sipping on three specialty cocktails inspired by Nopalera’s signature fragrances, available exclusively for the evening.

POP CULTURE TRIVIA: LATIN EDITION

Comedian, host, and all-around pop culture guru Jenny Gorelick brings her signature wit and wild energy to The Standard, East Village for high-energy, themed trivia nights. From reality TV and Y2K bangers to iconic 90s throwbacks and TV deep cuts... you will be tested. Oh, and prizes from The Standard and extra special sponsors are on the line.
