If you thought you would attend a book signing and party for photographer Terry Richardson at The Standard (presented by OHWOW and HTC) and get a fair dose of Hollywood – pardon, Terrywood – razzle-dazzle, well you thought right. The book Terrywood, which documents Terry Richardson's 2012 OHWOW show, is after all, the photographer's vision of everything that Hollywood has meant and continues to mean in the public imagination. The crowd, sort of a Beverly Hills meets the Viper Room, meets Chelsea gallery opening, made for quite the eclectic dance floor. And even though Azealia Banks’ “secret” performance wasn’t much of a secret, it seemed no one could quite believe their eyes when she sneak-attacked the party at 10:45pm on the dot. Even the most jaded gallery gays and girls bum rushed the stage, iPhones raised, jumping up and down with abandoned glee.
You have got to see this girl live. Flawless. (Not to brag but we kind of saw her coming a while back.) AND WAIT, SHE'S PERFORMING THIS NEW YEAR'S EVE ON TOP OF THE STANDARD. Tickets right this way.
