Brussels in March – Art, Design, Dialogue

March in Brussels is all about design, concentrated, intentional and citywide. Around COLLECTIBLE, the calendar fills with exhibitions, previews and conversations that shape the week. If you’re navigating Collectible Design Week, here are our top picks.
Zaventem Ateliers at Villa Empain

The month begins inside one of Brussels’ most iconic architectural landmarks. Zaventem Ateliers takes over Villa Empain with a presentation that brings together designers, artists and makers connected to its creative hub. Expect material research, collectible pieces and scenography that creates a dialogue between heritage architecture and contemporary design.

MAD Brussels — Home Sweet Home

Dates: March 11 to April 25, 2026
Where: MAD Brussels

What does home mean today? With Home Sweet Home, MAD Brussels presents over 75 reimagined birdhouses by Belgian and international designers. A modest object becomes a reflection on care, identity and coexistence. Entry is free.

SOLO SHOW LAURIDS GALLEE - LIMA CHARLI

Date: 11th of March at 18h00 - 00h00

Where: Objects With Narratives

For Lima Charlie, Laurids Gallée presents five resin light works alongside a small series of aluminium wall pieces. The title comes from radio shorthand for “loud and clear,” and points to transmission as a formal driver. Light is captured inside tinted resin bodies and reshaped through refraction and focal shifts. The gradients are tuned: a controlled colour drift that recalibrates as the viewer moves. The works do not resolve from a fixed point.

SOLO SHOW CHRISTIAN FREGNAN - GENTLE RESILIENCE

Dates: 11th of March at 18h00 - 00h00

Where: Objects With Narratives

Gentle Resilience marks an important milestone in Christian Fregnan’s professional journey: the debut of his first collection, shaped by a long process of disciplined craftsmanship.
This collection brings together works that explore the materiality of metal from multiple aspects, including the blend of heavy weight yet organic form.

Ahead of the fair, we spoke with Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg, founders of COLLECTIBLE.
