The live event in The Library Lounge will explore the artists’ practices through vinyl listening sessions with If Music founder Jean-Claude, focusing on discussions of the records that have shaped their life and work. With a focus on promoting awareness of contemporary and historical music of black origin, the series aims to document the unsung heroes of British music past, present and future.

The first live event presents US-Indian Jazz musician Sarathy Korwar who’s blending of Indian classical music and jazz with Hip Hop and electronic music has seen him collaborate with the likes of Shabaka Hutchiings, Hieroglyphic Being, and Kamasi Washington.
The event will feature an In Conversation followed by a short live performance by Sarathy and DJ set by Jean-Claude.
