Not Your Mama's Kitchen: Here to Help is a short documentary film capturing the heart, hustle and process behind a family owned restaurant and non-profit with the mission of uplifting their community through food for the soul. In exploring the team’s struggles and perseverance, we gain insight into how ethics of hard work and compassion afford the Compton based business the ability to feed 3,000 at-risk youth per day.
This event will mark the first screening of Not Your Mama’s Kitchen: Here to Help, as well as serve as an opportunity for local business owners to hold an honest conversation about what it means to be community-driven. Channeling themes of growth, connection and authenticity, panelists will share insights they've gained on their journey to upliftment.
