Artist Reception: ASHKAHN

Artist Reception: ASHKAHN

Join us on Thursday, March 24th, in hosting an opening reception to celebrate Ashkahn’s residency with The Box Installation series, on display until the end of March. His piece, titled, But I Don’t Want Anyone Else, is a unique examination of the human condition inspired by lost love.

But I Don’t Want Anyone Else features a playful pink neon centerpiece that reads “but I don’t want anyone else.” This installation is reflective of Ashkahn’s signature style of design that imparts a bon vivant spirit, honest humor, and underlying hint of playful wit.

Ashkahn is a multimedia artist based in Silver Lake, California and works in Downtown Los Angeles. His creations are a blend of various distinct influences and dynamic ingenuity stemming from his diverse background. In the August of 2011, he added another title under his belt as stationary prince with the release of his first fine greeting cards collection. The collection was well received; earning praises from homemaker legend, Martha Stewart and was picked up by high profile stores such as Colette, Fred Segal, and American Two Shot. Sharparnia has been featured in Interview Magazine, Paper Magazine, New York Times, as well as other publications and has collaborated with powerhouse brands such as JCrew, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and Nasty Gal.
