Director, Revenue Management
Job Purpose:
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Revenue and Reservations department.
Position defines the selling strategy to maximize hotel’s Revpar while ensuring the high quality of guest services provided by Reservations team.
This role is also responsible for all pre-opening related system configurations, include but not limited to PMS, RMS, Channel Manager and CRS, in accordance with the company’s policy and standard.
Main Responsibilities:
Analyzing and Reporting Data
· Daily pick up monitoring and competitor analysis cross all distribution channels to identify yielding opportunities.
- In depth market research to understand the trading trend and identify risks, to purpose selling strategy and solutions.
- Deliver daily, weekly and monthly reporting to hotel management, ownership and corporate team as requested.
- Produce accurate short- and long-term revenue forecast to set goals and outgrow the competitors.
- Prepare and assist in annual budgeting process
- Ensure content on Brand Website and OTAs are all time up to date, offer’s data integrity on all distribution channels are aligned and maintain best possible rate parity on different platforms.
Managing Strategy
· Work closely with GM, Sale team on property, Commercial team in corporate office to define selling strategies for each market segment.
· Ensures that all agreed selling strategies are implemented, executed, and reviewed, adjusted as market conditions fluctuate.
· Ensures that all strategies conform to Operation teams and brand discipline.
· Ability to explain and defend the agreed strategies to hotel leadership, corporate team and ownership
· Expert on distribution landscape, ability to configure rates, policies, rules, packages, etc cross PMS and Channels, and to troubleshoot all potential issues and problems.
Building Relationships
· Manage, coach and develop in house reservation team
· Ensure revenue management culture and mindset in hotel’s key departments
· Facilitate regular business review meetings with both internal and external stakeholders and partners.
· Lead by example, demonstrate ability to listen, cooperate, adapt and celebrate with others
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel revenue management and 3 years of experience in managing a team. Previous hotel leadership experience (HOD level) required.
· Advanced user of Opera Cloud required, SynXis CRS, Duetto, Rate Gain knowledge are desired.
