Engineering Coordinator

Reports To:

Director of Engineering

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the general condition of the Engineering department, with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and painting work. Participate in the preventive maintenance program for all-building equipment and rooms. Complete other special projects assigned periodically by the Director of Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Handling Payroll for the Department

· Putting in purchase orders through hotel program; birch street

· Ordering Supplies for the team and supplies for repairs

· Manage staff through our repair system; Know cross

· Review food & beverage/public space/guestroom repairs emails, respond to repairs emails, schedule work to be completed, follow up upon completion

· Provide engineers with photos of work that needs to be completed so it is easier to identify what needs to be done

· Make sure engineers have all the supplies & materials for assignments

· Schedule all projects within the outlets with department managers

· Follow up with department managers to make sure all repairs are completed or if new repairs arise

· Review walk through and facilities notes/repairs – work to be scheduled by Manager

· Lift small items when needed to help engineers

· Follow up with vendors

· Handle furniture repairs & powder coating

· Receive & review quotes from contractors

· Make sure work area is neat/clean and presentable to guests at all times

· Follow up constantly with the contactor all throughout the day

· If project takes more than a day, make sure to inform department managers of progress

· Take notes during the meeting

· All notes go onto the calendar

· Update the calendar when needed

· Send out the calendar on a weekly basis to keep all departments aware of what's going on

· Keep track of engineering overtime

· Assist with storage arrival & take away
