Job Overview
The Food and Beverage Guest Attendant is a guest-facing multi-tasker/multi-doer that takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells food and drinks, makes drinks, serves snacks, takes payment, communicates orders with the kitchen staff, seats customers, helps with customer service, cleans and sanitizes guest areas, runs food, busses tables and provides any other direct service to the guest that is reasonable and/or required.
Salary
$15.00 per hour + tips + $250 SIGN ON BONUS!

Qualifications and Requirements

- Physical:
- Able to move and traverse workspace for a minimum period of 8 hours a day
- Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching
- Able to pull, push, carry and lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
- Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures
- Comprehension: Fluent in the English language
- Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks
- Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to uniform, grooming, personal hygiene standards and expectations per SOP’s as well as all COVID related hygiene protocol
- Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time and attendance at mandatory meetings when scheduled
- Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations
- Willingness to learn and adapt
Desirable

- Previous work experience in a similar area
- NY Food Handler Certificate
- Knowledge of POS system (Squirrel)
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Displays a professional, friendly, hospitable, and welcoming demeanor
- Is able to accommodate guests' requests to the best of his/her ability making the guest feel comfortable
- Provides expert information on all menus and suggestively sells/upsells
- Receives and enters guest orders accurately
- Provides level of service consistent with established standards in every aspect
- Follows up with guests regarding any service issues; reports any and all guest concerns to the manager on duty
- Maintains a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task
- Delivers and para-phrases exact items ordered
- Clears items off table as needed
- Provides additional services / answers requested by the guest
- Completes assigned side-work including set up, break down, cleaning and restocking
- Communicates errors to manager / kitchen as needed
- Fully trained in cash handling procedures: cash drops, end of shift reports, etc.
- Performs other duties as requested by manager
