Marketing Manager
Job Purpose:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the marketing department at The Standard, Ibiza and working with the General Manager, Director of Sales, hotel executive team and Brand HQ. This position is also responsible for overseeing the various aspects of strategic marketing, event planning, liaising with rooms, F&B, Culture as well as handling creative promotions and managing all social media outlets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
PARTNERSHIPS/PROGRAMMING
- Discover new relationships with local/international partners that bring both culturally relevant and brand-aligned events, activations and guest offerings to the property that introduce the brand to new guests and create press value and guest engagement
- Have a strong understanding and influence within the social and cultural scene in Ibiza and those traveling year-round. Act as a cultural ambassador for the property to continue to create activations and partnerships that make The Standard a cultural hub and leader within the industry
- Manage communication, promotion, and invite lists for key programming events
- Support F&B department with programming events and execution
- Field and analyze new events and partnership requests for initial review
SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE MAINTENANCE
- Manage digital media presence and content for property: company website, third party sites
- Oversee all social media platforms and content creation for the property including Facebook and Instagram
- Manage Facebook ad campaigns with Brand HQ – Director of Marketing
- Regularly update all happenings, specials and offers on the hotel website
- Manage incoming and proactive influencer and content creator partnerships for any on- property activation, stays or shoots.
PROMOTIONS/EMAIL MARKETING
- Work with Sales and Revenue departments in order to create seasonal packages, promotions and design communications in order to ensure hotel meets revenue and reaches new audiences
- Ability
to analyze KPI to discover best practices and shift efforts accordingly
Manage all promotional packages/campaigns including requesting creative, drafting the communication plan and recap analysis - Work with the Brand Marketing Director and property Sales Director to manage all digital marketing efforts, including PPC and other digital marketing hotel advertisements
PR/PHOTOSHOOT
- Oversee all hotel Media/PR requests
- Work directly with property PR agency to ensure all daily property initiatives in terms of hotel and F&B promotions/activations/changes are communicated in a timely manner
- Oversee all photo and film shoot requests and work with SIM Brand HQ for approval and execution at the hotel. Work directly with the property to effectively execute the shoot and all its needs
- Scheduling and maintaining photography for property events and updated stock photography for the hotel alongside Brand Creative team
- Helps coordinate logistics and acts as property host for any FAM/Media trips along with SIM Marketing and PR teams and agency
GENERAL/COLLATERAL/ADMINISTRATIVE
- Oversee and be accountable for on-property programming, marketing and photo budgets
- Work with corporate office to ensure inclusion of all major hotel activities on Standard Culture and Instagram channels. Communicate and educate all corporate office initiatives to the property
- Generate comprehensive recaps for key initiatives
- Oversee and establish all trade/barter agreements for the hotel
- Oversee all hotel communication (flyers, signs, eblast etc.) – work in parallel with the HQ in-house design team and respective departments per request
- Maintain company standards throughout all marketing procedures
- Ensure all employees receive proper Standard Brand training in basics of company standards, image and history
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- College degree
- Experience in hotel marketing
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
- Focus and good computer skills
- Knowledge of design software and skills in preparing marketing collateral
- Analytic knowledge of social media and market trends
- Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns and successful PR efforts
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
