      We are currently looking for a motivated and charismatic individual to help make our guest experience exceptional. The right experience, attitude and desire to work on our Guest Relations Team are important qualities! Got personality? Bring it. We have Full-Time and Part-Time positions.

      As a Door Person you will be responsible for:

      The door person is responsible for being the first impression and initial representation of The Standard Downtown LA. Greeting and assisting guests and visitors upon arrival and departure.

      Greeting all guests upon arrival and departure.

      Supervising and monitor the valet team ensuring unparalleled service.

      Responding to and initiate reporting for guest and employee incidents.

      Possessing knowledge of the downtown LA community and offerings to
      assist guests with information on special events (sporting, theater, movies, entertainment, local transportation and restaurants).

      Informing incoming guests on the following while assisting them to their room: 24/7 restaurant, rooftop, in room dining, location of ice machines;
      fitness center; emergency procedures; guest room equipment, thermostat settings and exit paths.

      Prevent entrance and assist in the removal of unauthorized transients.

      While securing the property, always ensure that hotel guests are treated with outmost respect.

      Turn lost items into the front desk to process as per procedures.

      Maintain knowledge of hotel fire and emergency procedures.

      Other job duties as assigned.

      Our ideal candidate:

      Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.

      Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a
      minimum of supervision.

      Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

      Interpersonal and conversational skills and the ability to work well with co-workers, patrons and guests.

      Valid Driver’s License.

      Once hired, employee will receive CA PSO (Proprietary Private Security Officer) License Training.
      Candidates will be required to attain CA PSO License within 30 days of hire at his/her own expense.
