Food Runner - Part Time / Temporary
Primary Functions:
Interacting and providing service for guests in restaurant and related areas. Running food from Kitchen and Bar to dining areas presenting and explaining items to guests, table maintenance, provide supplies and assist all F & B staff- You are to check in with the MOD upon arrival and also before leaving any assigned areas.
- Clean, set up and breakdown tables, trays and stations per side work sheets and SOPs.
- Describe all food and beverage items to our guests when presented to table or cocktail area.
- Replenish side stations before, during and after service; supply and maintain condiments and related job items.
- Polish Silverware, plates, glassware and related items.
- Complete all Side work duties per SOPs, MOD and Chef including pre-shift, post-shift, daily, weekly and monthly duties.
- The Liaison between the service staff and the kitchen/Bar regarding all food & beverage information and special requests and/or allergies.
- Working closely with servers and server assistants bar and kitchen on the timing of food and beverages.
- Setting up, closing, cleaning and organizing the expediting station and service bar.
- Polishing silverware and glassware in service stations and kitchen throughout service.
- Assist in set up the tables with roll ups, condiments and ashtrays.
- Responsible for restaurant and related areas cleanliness including table maintenance, floor sweep and weather related tasks.
- Review menu daily for changes, specials and 86 lists.
- Properly serve patrons while showcasing knowledge of food and beverage through suggestive upselling.
- Follow the steps of service through the Hospitality Guide and COYLE standards
- Opening/refilling all beverages including bottles of wine/water.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Adhere to employee handbook.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of POS system and cashiering.
- Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures.
- Comprehension: Excellent command of the English language. Multi-lingual is helpful but not required.
- Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking and task prioritization skills.
- Service: Level of service consistent and uniform in accordance with established standard’s per SOP’s.
- Hygiene and Sanitation: adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per SOP’s. Ongoing cleaning and maintenance of workstation according to established procedure.
- Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time. Attendance at mandatory meetings when scheduled.
- Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard Miami policies, standards and expectations. While on the floor identify and report real or potential problem situations to Management immediately.
- Knowledge: Adherence to the Hospitality guide, Food and Beverage testing with a passing grade of 100% including any allergens, and Coyle Standard
