New York - East Village, NYC Jr. Sales Manager

      Do you have what it takes? We're looking for an outgoing Jr. Sales Manager to assist the sales team in ensuring sales quotas are met and that sales activities, preferred accounts, and group bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per room occupied.

      Responsibilities:

    • Consistently update the DOS (Director of Sales) by sending individual reservation quotes and inputting detailed information on guest and company into Opera
    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standard.
    • Maintain strong partnerships by efficiently corresponding with all SEV clientele.Fanatic attention to detail and ability to adhere to high maintenance clientele working in various industries such as entertainment, fashion & production.
    • Support any travel agent request
    • Corporate negotiated RFP submission: Tracking/Management of RFP Tool / RFP submission once rate have been approved through 
    • Editing all local corporate agreements / follow up and tracking until signature
    • Requesting rate loading information for all corporate clients + confirm rate accessibility on client’s end once loaded
    • Coordinate, track, and book all barter reservations/agreements - both internal and external
    • Manage all assigned local sales accounts 
    • Solicit new accounts to support hotel revenue goals
    • Schedule weekly client office visit
    • Client site inspections of the hotel
    • Welcome VIP Clients upon arrival
    • Coordinate and organize all sales folders (corporate and group agreements, corporate / group / local key contact lists, hotel photo library)
    • Manage Entertainment/Production requests
    • Event planning and coordination for sales events, meetings, client dinners, etc.
    • Oversee corporate VIP program (research, identify, update system and arrange amenity)
    • Coordinates VIP arrival with operation / special requests / greet corporate VIPs 
    • Attend regularly scheduled meetings: daily morning meeting, revenue meetings, group resume meetings, etc. as required. 
    • Oversee intern’s or coordinator’s administrative duties (accounting, office supplies, meeting room requests, show room requests, sales/marketing gift inventory); Provide direct administrative support during transition periods between intern/coordinator staffing
    • Support DOS on all administrative tasks related to the Sales department including sharing any relevant communication with other departments

      Requirements:

      Essential:


      • 2 years’ experience in hotel sales office
      • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emails and phone calls /span>
      • Detail-oriented and hospitality-minded
      • Clear
        understanding of yielding and rate structure processes
      • Basic understanding of revenue management process 
      • Proficient in MS Word & Excel

       Desirable:

      • Multi-lingual, travel-experience, comfortable entertaining clients, naturally networker
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
      • Knowledge of Opera, Delphi, and/or Hotelligence software
