Pilates Mat

This safe, steady paced mat class is welcome to beginner and intermediate level students and is designed to bring awareness and build strength to the corset of muscles that are the core or "powerhouse" of the body. Pilates is active stretching - while toning and shaping your waistline, pilates exercises simultaneously release jammed areas in the hips, low back and your entire spine. This class will pay special attention to releasing neck and shoulder tension while helping to create a lovely toned upper body and strong, shapely arms. A variety of props will be used including the magic circle, the mini-barrel, small hand-weights and foam rollers. Be ready to work hard, work deep and have fun!
