Rug Sells at Auction for $33.7 Million

It was a big day in the flooring world yesterday when a 17th-century Persian rug fetched $33.7 million from an anonymous phone bidder at Sotheby's, shattering all rug records to date. Kinda ups the ante with Erwin Wurm's Instructions of How to Be Politically Incorrect series in which he suggests the peeing on someone's rug. We're sure the new owners will give it a thorough cleaning.
