NEW MUSIC: The Six Spring Albums You Meet in Heaven

Jack White's "Sixteen Saltines," from his new album Blunderbuss - April 24th

Mr. White may have shed his stripes but he hasn't lost his sound. After a string of noodle-y side projects, his new solo album, "Blunderbuss," reunites the pounding bass, distorted riffs and arch lyrics of yesteryear. We miss you Meg! (Kinda!)

Sigur Ros' "Ekki Mukk" from Valtari - May 28th

Iceland's answer to Enya releases their first album since 2008. The single "Ekki Mukk" is particularly gorge.

Hot Chip, "Flutes" from the new album In Our Heads - June 12th

Poor Jethro Tull. Britain's hottest electronic collective has snatched the famously uncool wind instrument out of his wizardly hands and still managed to produce pure magic. (We thought it was like a wand in Harry Potter.) Anyway, believe the hype. It's bloody good.

The Gossip, "Perfect World" from a A Joyful Noise - May 22nd

Last we heard, Beth Ditto was too busy going solo and becoming a fashion icon (as one does) to make an album. Thank God she managed! The disco-diva vocals and post-punk beats are sublime.

Santigold, "Disparate Youth" from Master of My Make Believe - May 1st

After four years in the wilderness, Santi's back with a banger. The first single, "Disparate Youth," might just be her edgiest.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zero's Here - May 29th

The sepia-toned collective behind the smash hit "Home" kicks their dust-bowl aesthetic up a notch. Coming soon to a boutique near you.
