      Job Overview:

      The Human Resources Manager will coordinate, and administer all things Human Resources related for the Hotel. We would like the ideal candidate to represent the Hotel and Hotel Staff meaningfully on a day to day basis. Responsibilities include new hire orientation, training and new hire processing, maintenance of all employee files and information, handling of employee issues or concerns, workers compensation claims, etc.

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Coordinates the administration of all aspects of Human Resources for the Hotel

      • Facilitates regular New Hire Orientation for staff

      • Develops, supports and administers an effective employee relations program to ensure a positive and supportive work environment

      • Communicates, interprets and implements human resources policies and procedures

      • Oversees maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee files

      • Oversees the processing of appropriate worker's compensation, work related injury and unemployment claims to ensure proper completion of paperwork, monitor costs

      • Participate in Safety Committee and Manager on Duty programs

      • Respond to requests for employment verification appropriately

      • Assist in annual wage and benefit survey

      • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic representation of the Hotel for employees by communicating visually via employee newsletter, bulletin boards, paycheck notes

      QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

      You must be an exceptional candidate. I know everyone says that, but really, we will want to know why you are exceptional, so...

      • You will need to have amazing communication skills, oral and written, bi-lingual English/Spanish.

      • You have your Bachelors Degree and maybe some additional training or education...tell me about it!

      • Your experience in Human Resources is three years or more!

      • Your administrative skills are second to none! HR generates a lot of detailed paperwork.

      • Multitasker, did I mention that you must be a multitasker and a problem solver.

      • You are positive and enthusiastic, oh yes, and confident too!

      • Extremely approachable with an ability to listen and act.

      • Please be knowledgeable in local, state and federal law as is related to employment and Human Resources.

      • Hospitality minded. You need a strong understanding of and experience in delivering customer service!

      • You are impressively organized and know how to prioritize.

      • You look and act professionally, but understand our unique environment. We like to have fun too!

      • Your schedule understands that Hotels are 24/7 and sometimes your work will be in the Evenings, Nights and Weekends.

      • You are skilled on the computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
