      Job Overview: 

      We are in search of an energetic, outgoing, creative and a passionate individual, who will effectively sell the hotel’s event space, establish new accounts, take reactive inquiries and will serve as support to The Senior Area Events Manager. Will be responsible for monitoring booking pace, building new contacts and maintaining established relationships. All while keeping quality consistently high and communicating catering event matters relevant to each department.

      The Events Sales manager will also represent the hotel by conducting site visits, negotiating and making proposals, detailing events, and ensuring that each client event is executed successfully.


      You'll do the following and more! 

      • Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce event business. 

      • Negotiates rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract. 
      • Must have strong organizational and leadership skills. 

      • Must be a focused person who strives on a challenge and succeeds. 

      • Conducts tours of the hotel and event facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures. 

      • Accurately forecasts all bookings and cancellations. 
      • Responds to guest requests in a timely and a friendly manner.  Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. 

      • Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and attire.

      • Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates. 

      Job Requirements: 

      • Minimum of two years’ experience as an Events Manager
      • Strong knowledge of hotel operations
      • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
      • Great communication and customer service skills
      • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and creative environment
      • Working knowledge of common computer applications
      • Preferred familiarity with Delphi
