Los Angeles - Downtown LA Director of Operations

      We are currently looking for a motivated and charismatic individual to help make our guest experience exceptional. The right experience, attitude and desire to work on our Operations Team are important qualities! Got personality? Bring it.


      As the Director of Operations you will report to the General Manager and assist in the execution of the hotel’s overall strategy for the property. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the Front Office, Food and Beverage, Guest Relations, and Rooms departments.


       


      The Director of Operations will be responsible for:



      • Monitoring overhead expenditures, incident reports, department requests, purchase reports and accounts payable and accounts receivable.

      • Ensuring each department’s revenue targets are tenable, standard operating procedures are consistently met in order that routine operations are successfully carried out and guest satisfaction feedback is reviewed and appropriately actioned.

      • Analyzing areas of opportunity for improving guest service.

      • Developing action plans to improve guest satisfaction and ensuring departments properly execute action plans and measure results. 

      • Strategizing direction and providing leadership to all departments.

      • Collaborating with Human Resources and department heads to determine staffing needs, hiring, training and planning staff development.

      • Ensuring the property meets all legal requirements and conforms to local codes and established regulations.

      • Overseeing cost-benefit analysis to improve efficiencies and measure performance via data and metrics.

      • Soliciting employee feedback as well as identifying and addressing employee concerns.




      Our ideal candidate:



      • College degree in Hospitality or related major.

      • At least 5 years’ experience in Food and Beverage and Front Office management experience.

      • Preferred background in Food and Beverage management.

      • The experience and the ability to manage a team through delegation and feedback.

      • Commitment to providing a superior and unique product.

      • The ability to expand responsibilities, suggest improvements and collaborate with others to generate ideas and improve processes.

      • Self-motivation and the ability to maintain focused on accomplishing desired results.

      • The ability to exploit all opportunities to promote the hotel to the public.

      • Professionalism and good people management skills.
