New York - East Village, NYC Guest Relations (Security) Manager

      Do you have what it takes? We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, energetic Security Manager who is passionate about safety, systems and hospitality. The Security Manager reports directly to the General Manager of the hotel. The main function of the Security Manager is to manage daily operations in the following areas: Security & Surveillance, Access Control, Customer Service, Education & Prevention as well as managing and training a team of Security agents. 

      Responsibilities: 

      • Monitoring the workplace environment; ensuring compliance with safety procedures and hotel policies
      • Examine entry points (doors and windows) to ensure general maintenance and security
      • Maintain order and discourage inappropriate behavior
      • Review video surveillance when necessary
      • Write reports related to guest/employee incidents/accidents; property damage/theft; various guest issues related to the building etc.
      • Control access to certain areas of the building & distribute access to appropriate parties when necessary
      • Assist in escorting employees and/or guests into or out of the building; or to particular areas of the building when necessary
      • Direct and inform visitors/guests/suppliers to the appropriate places when necessary
      • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the surrounding area in order to better assist employees/guests when necessary
      • Collect and record lost and found objects
      • Make periodic rounds on foot to inspect designated areas of the building and identify/report any abnormalities.
      • Report any dangers, system dysfunctions or interruption of utilities (electricity, heating, ventilation etc.) to the proper authority;
      • Respond to emergencies

      Must Have Skills: 

      • Current NYC Security License
      • Current FSD Certificate
      • At least 1 year of relevant Security experience
      • Ability to work non-standard hours (nights, weekends, overnight shifts)
      • Superb organizational and communication skills; fanatic attention to detail
      • Ability to fluently read, write and speak English
      • Patience, diplomacy & superb emotional control
