Miami - Miami Beach Human Resources Assistant

      The Standard Spa Miami is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to assist in the Human Resources department with all aspects of the employment cycle. 

      Qualifications and Requirements:

      o  
      Performs customer service functions by answering employee
      requests and questions to the best of her/his knowledge.

      o  
      Assists conducting benefits enrollment for new
      employees and creates a report every two weeks of new eligible employees.

      o  
      Assists creating New Hire packages and benefits
      packages.

      o  
      Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books
      current.

      o  
      Reconciles the benefits statements.

      o  
      Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or
      other HR programs and recommends any corrective action. 

      o  
      Keeps track of any employee referrals upon hiring
      and after completing 90 days.

      o  
      Assists HR Director with various research projects
      and/or special projects.

      o  
      Assists with the various employee discount coupons
      by contacting companies for coupons as directed by HR Director.

      o  
      Once a month maintains office supplies and creates
      all necessary Purchase Orders.

      o  
      Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by
      HR Director.

      o  
      Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs
      other clerical functions.

      o  
      Once a week files papers and documents into
      appropriate employee files (active & terminated).

      o  
      Assists or prepares correspondence that includes
      but not limited to employee’s birthday cards and termination paychecks,
      processes mail.

      o  
      Sends online onboarding new hire emails using ADP Workforce Now and creates new hire files.

      o  
      Performs other duties as assigned.

      College
      degree

      o  
      One
      (1) year experience in HR/Administrative functions and at least One (1) year
      experience in hotels.

      o  
      Knowledge
      of government labor regulations.

      o  
      Knowledge
      of employee benefits processing.

      o  
      Ability
      to communicate in English with guests and hotel personnel to their
      understanding. Multi-lingual is helpful but not required.

      o  
      Ability
      to provide legible communication.

      o  
      Ability
      to accurately compute mathematical calculations.

      o  
      Computer
      literate.

      o  
      Ability
      to enforce hotel's standards.
